Supervision and inspection

One of our tasks is to supervise pharmaceutical manufacturers – both before and after the medicine has been put on the Danish market.

We also supervise companies that distribute medicines. In some cases, we sample and test medicines to ensure that the companies’ quality control systems are good enough.

One of the things we check is whether the quality of the substances used in the manufacture of medicine complies with a number of minimum standards. In this process, we seek the advice of the Danish Pharmacopoeia Commission.
